We do it after close, on a night you choose.
Nobody is really worried about the price. They are worried about a full room and a till nobody knows how to use. Here is exactly how the switch night runs.
Four days, and only one of them is yours.
You keep trading on your current system the whole way through. Nothing at your end is switched off until you say the word.
A spreadsheet, a POS export, a PDF, or a photo of the printed menu. We build it — categories, prices, sizes, modifiers, the lot — and send it back for you to check. You are not typing 200 items into a new system at midnight.
Floor plan drawn to match your room, staff PINs created, kitchen printers and the display tested. All of it on your account, none of it in anyone's way.
EFTPOS terminal paired, drawer and printer connected, a few practice sales rung through and voided. We are on the phone for the whole thing. If anything is not right, your old system is still sitting there untouched.
Plenty of venues run the old till in the corner for the first service and never touch it. That is a good sign, not a failure — keep it there until you stop looking at it.
Three things, and none of them on the night.
In any form at all. If you can photograph it, we can build it.
A rough sketch of the tables and how many each seats. We draw it properly.
Names and who is allowed to void a sale. PINs take a minute each.
Your historical sales stay with your old provider. What comes across is what you need to trade tomorrow: the menu, the tables, the people.
Tell us what the break fee is.
A lot of POS contracts run 24 or 36 months and the exit is not cheap. Tell us what is left to run and we will work around it.
Talk to us about it. Depending on what is left to run, there is usually something we can do — a delayed start, a longer free period, or simply setting the whole thing up now so you can switch the day your contract ends without another hour of work.
What happens when it does.
The EFTPOS terminal will not pair.
It happens, usually because the terminal is locked to the old provider's integration. You take card payments on the terminal standalone and record them in the till as a manual card payment — takings are still correct and the day still reconciles. We sort the pairing out the next business day.
Something is missing from the menu at 7pm.
Add it on the spot from the till in about ten seconds, price and all. You are not waiting for us, and you are not waiting for a support ticket.
My staff hate it.
Then we want to know on day two, not at the end of the trial. Most of the time it is one screen doing one thing in an unexpected order, and it is a change we can make. If it is genuinely not right for your floor, leave — there is no exit fee and your data comes with you.
The internet goes down during the first service.
The till keeps taking orders, cash and cards keyed on the card machine with no connection at all, still prints dockets and receipts, and syncs when it is back. Of all the nights for that to happen, it is the one you are best covered for.
Start free. Switch when you are ready.
The trial does not commit you to a switch night, and the setup work we do during it is yours to keep whether you go ahead or not.
